In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.


Europcar Australia insurance

Covers And Waivers
1 The Damage Liability Fee (DLF) shown in the Rental Agreement must be paid if there is Damage.

2 If Other Cover Products are purchased to reduce Your liability We will provide cover for Damage but unless You have purchased SPOM You must pay the reduced DLF shown in the Rental Agreement.

3 The DLF shown in the Rental Agreement is payable for each separate event and whether You are at fault or not. It is payable to Us within 7 days of Our demand being made to You.

4 Neither DLF nor Other Cover Products provide cover for personal belongings and each level of cover is subject to You not being in breach of the Rental Contract.

5 If the Vehicle is involved in an Accident and You have purchased:
a. SPOM, which is Our premium cover, Your DLF liability is nil;
b. POM, Your DLF is reduced to the amount shown in the Rental Agreement and it includes WWI;
c. LDW, Your DLF is reduced to the amount shown in the Rental Agreement but it does not include WWI;
d. WWI, there is cover for windscreen and headlight damage and tyre punctures but no reduction in Your DLF and no cover for wheel damage, tyre damage, such as spiking or slashing, or damage to side and rear windows.

6 If You or any driver whether authorised by Us or not breach the Rental Contract neither DLF nor Other Cover Products provide cover and You and any driver are each liable for:
a. damage;
b. storage, repossession and recovery fees;
c. assessing fees;
d. roadside assistance;
e. administrative and legal costs of recovery;
f. loss of Use.

7 You must always pay and there is no cover for:
a. the DLF if there is Damage, unless You have purchased SPOM;
b. the cost of rectifying tyre punctures, windscreen or headlight damage, unless You have purchased SPOM, POM or WWI;
c. Damage that occurs whilst a Commercial Vehicle is being driven in reverse;
d. Damage that is caused to a Vehicle with a convertible roof by overfilling the luggage compartment above the recommended level, and then activating the convertible roof mechanism;
e. Overhead Damage or any other Damage caused by:
i. contact between the Vehicle and objects overhanging or obstructing the path of the Vehicle; or
ii. objects being placed on the roof of the Vehicle; or
iii. You or any person standing or sitting on the roof of the Vehicle.
f. Damage caused deliberately or recklessly by You, any unauthorised driver or any passenger of the Vehicle;
g. Damage to the underbody of the Vehicle and any resulting Damage linked to that underbody Damage;
h. any water Damage caused by immersion of the Vehicle in water, including whilst the Vehicle is being transported;
i. Damage caused or contributed to by You or any driver where You or the driver leaves the scene of the Accident prior to the attendance of the police or reporting the Accident to the police;
j. the full cost of replacing or repairing any accessories supplied by Us including, but not limited to, child restraints and GPS units and lost keys;
k. Damage caused by use of the incorrect fuel type;
l. Damage if the Vehicle is taken into any area prohibited by the Rental Contract;
m. property that is stolen from the Vehicle, lost or damaged during the Rental Period or left in the Vehicle after the Vehicle is returned to the Rental Station;
n. loss or damage to Your property or the property of an entity related to You that arises from the use of the Vehicle.

8 Compulsory Insurance (Included in Rates):
Damage Liability Fee (DLF)
Liability is $3,850 for ECMR, CDAR, IDAR, IXAR, SDAR, FDAR, FWAR,PVAR and $5,500 for PFAR, IVAR, LDAR & FFAR/FFMR. The Damage Liability Fee (DLF) shown in the Rental Agreement must be paid if there is Damage.

Fair Wear & Tear (FWT)
Classified very minor damage that is deemed reasonable during the rental of a vehicle. Damage Charges will not apply: Includes chips up to 2mm radius(no dent). Scratches up to 10mm length and 1 mm width (no dent) or any scratches than can be polished out.

9. Optional Insurance:
Loss Damage Waiver Insurance (LDW)
This insurance costs $ 26 per day for cars, all wheel drive & minibuses, it will reduces liability to $ 390 for cars, minibues and all wheel drive.
For PFAR, FFAR, FFMR and LDAR, IVAR, this insurance costs $ 29 per day, and will reduces liability to $ 990 for FFMR LDAR and FFAR, IVAR.

Wheels, Windsreens & Iridescences (WWI)
This insurance cost $8.8 per day for cars, all wheel drive & minibuses, and $ 14.30 for LDAR,IVAR, WWI is Not available to purchase on FFAR/FFMR & PFAR.

Peace of Mind(POM)
This insurance costs $31 for cars, all wheel drive & minibuses, $39 for LDAR and IVAR, POM is NOT available to purchase on FFAR/FFMR & PFAR, and it will reduces liability to $390 for cars, all wheel drive and minibuses, $990 for IVAR and LDAR. Special OFFER Package including LDW & WWI Combined.

Snow Cover
- Snow coverage is compulsory for vehicles travelling above the snow line.
- The cost is at $11.00 inc GST (AUD) per day for all vehicle classes excluding FFAR/PFAR.
- For an FFAR/PFAR vehicle class, the cost is at $35.00 inc GST (AUD) per day.
- Chains can be supplied & fitted by the client however chain damage is not covered. Roof racks can be supplied & fitted by the client however roof damage is not covered.
